well i can tell you guys.. its an awesome car i love mine to death and it's a lot of fun to drive.  thumup

I'm considering a Mazdaspeed 6 as a car for the family/quick trips to the ski slopes (our Pilot just dosen't do it for me  sad1).  Anything you'd suggest I know before I begin my my search?  Things to look out for like the afore mentioned clutch?

Thanks,

I had a lot of "issues" with mine, car was tied up for two months sorting them out. The ECU and fuel pump were issues when they first came out. Got it 30% off list brand new late in the year when an Atlanta Mazda dealer was blowing them out the door. Traded it a 7K miles for what I bought it for, not that impressed with the car, interior felt cheap. The car is cumbersome to drive, you feel the weight. The AWD is weak, especially the rear diff set up. Other downside is it is not based on the North American 6, so all the parts are not as readily available, which includes any body panels. I always thought they did that car just to wring out the issues in the DSI turbo engine. Not one of their best efforts.

A co-worker of mine has a MS6.  He loves the thing, always bragging about going 80mph down a gravel road or something like that.  Then he complains about how much a new set of brake calipers cost, lol!  Guess he could relate to the "parts not readily available" bit.
