Ill glance at one every so often at WalMart but never buy them but the other day I found out my Nephew buys them all and he gave me a stack of them including all the Sept. issues and I was amazed on how many stories there are on Miata s in these mags...
IM looking at Sports Compact for Sept. and I see Skip Barber bought a fleet of newer MX5 to train people in racing cars very interesting article with quite a few pics but the one story I really found interesting was (VW goes insane) now this is the company VW not just some racer in a garage they took a Golf GTI and stuck a 6.0 liter twin turbo W12 in it that has 650 HP that does 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and has a max speed of 201 mph..I love how the car looks and it has great looking 19 inch wheels..They dont say if this car will go into mass production and the author states i don't think VW would be nutty enough to mass produce it..

Did anyone else get that Zoom Zoom Magazine from Mazda?  It's basically a giant print ad.

Here's a complete review of the W12-650 (with driver's take on the package)!  Interesting!

Thanks Woofster for the VW story and pics ..I should say I love the way the car looks because if you out driving on the street it looks like a normal car and you could destroy a lot of street racers with it ..

That's why I debadge my cars.  If you knew enough about the car, you could tell what it is.  The MSM is fun, but it's more fun to demolish a street racer in a subtly modified sedan, like a BMW M5 that has been rebadged as a 528i.   Azn

Sports Compact must love Miata s I just read Oct. issue some guy wrote in saying he was ready to buy a sports car for the street and auto X and he wanted to buy a 350z and the author replied save your money and go the Maita rout for around 4k you could find a Miata in pretty good shape and then put a few more thousand in up grades and you just saved you about 10k..

They also had a story on illegal street racing in California and they show what happens to your car once you are caught,in the back ground they show a stack of flatten sports cars and in the foreground someones car that was known as a Vet beater out on the streets but is now known as crushed dreams with 10k invested in the engine..
I bet the salvage workers pull out all the good stuff in most of those cars even tho by law they tell them to smash them up...

Sports Compact must love Miata s

They've loved them since before the days that Shiv Pathak was writing for them. I still have some of those old issues around somewhere.
