I have finally started my build thread! Looks or performance? I think I ask myself that question every payday. And every payday it doesn't matter because I just buy whatever comes to mind So I started this build thread hoping to gain some organization and document my car's life. I don't expect for this build to move too fast (I'm a little busy with school & work) and it doesn't help that some of my Japanese parts have already been on backorder for months! This will be my first time modding/upgrading a car, I look forward to it.

I've got car #1923, bought it with 5 miles on the clock in 2005 I think I got pretty lucky. My car is pretty stock with the exception of minor cosmetic changes like McCulloch H.I.D. lights, clear side markers, a CD7000 Eclipse stereo, and some Kicker 6x8 speakers on the doors, nothing too crazy. For years I promised not to "touch" my car, I wanted to keep it in Mint condition forever... lol yeah right! Here she is:

No kidding jmikbo! Not only is there helpful information and great support on this site, but there's a ton of upgrades I want to steal from other members. It seems like every time I log in, this web-site is flirting with my wallet... and my wife doesn't like that lol So, for months I was looking for the Garage Vary Winding Dancer Rear Lip http://www.vary.co.jp/wd.html {you need to click on the NB8C/REAR link} -No luck! I tried to get a group buy together and I asked vendors to procure it for me (since I don't speak Japanese) but no one was willing to ship such a fragile item from Japan. Just as I was about to give up, I found AIT Racing selling it in the States. Purchased! http://www.aitracing.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_282&products_id=328 It arrived today, pictures will be up tonight!

A few detailers refused to believe my paint was stock. They kept telling me to stock lying, and it was definitely a custom paint job

If I had a penny for every time I get asked if this is a stock paint job…. $$$ As soon as I got home, I opened the box and proceeded to happily inspect it's contents. The lip is made of FRP and feels super light weight, it definitely flexes and looks tough. Here's a top shot: The sides look like they will flow perfectly with the car, I love all the detail on it, this is an awesome piece! The hole in the back measures 3" tall and about 6" wide, I haven't looked at any exhaust systems yet but I'll have to find something before I install this kit, something just as sexy as the Winding Dancer lol

There are some people on here with side sills...only a small amount with the oem large...(QQQQ) ...the omega has some in his sig..just look it up... I have some if those low res shots you speak of lol. I think with all the other oem msm lips the sills look like they belong...perhaps mazes should have had them standard on all speeds!

Did you just stick them on with double sided tape? Or are you going to use the factory mounting method and drill some holes?

I haven't installed anything on my car yet... I will probably color match before installing. Most likely, I will use the factory mounting method. perhaps mazes should have had them standard on all speeds!
Agree 100% Mazda SHOULD have slapped them on the MSM, they gave it the front lip, rear lip and spoiler, then the sides are like ....
