Wow, its really a no touch spray on cleaner? Did this work, or did you end up having to do more work? Regardless the end result is very nice. I'm going to have to pick some up and give my engine compartment a good cleaning.

Never seen CD2 in the store.  People used to recommend Armor All foaming tire cleaner for under the hood, supposed to leave a protective shine on everything.

YMMV.

Oh it leaves a shine... Far from protective though. Armor all is petrolrum based which dries out under heat and leaves a nice shine. Drying leads to cracking.

Years ago I used their tire cleaner/shine on another car, the tires looked great for a while then turned brown.  The brown made me think the armor all had damaged the rubber...never again.  I do suppose these cars have more rubber under the hood than a non-MSM NB would.

Check out adamspolishes.com. They have some great stuff called VRT. It's silicon based and once dry doesnt disappear from moisture. It leaves a nice semi gloss finish similar to when tires are brand new. And if you have the vinyl top it can be used on there too.

I actuallu use Adams exclusively. Sure I could mix and match and get better but the entire adam's line just works and is easy to use.

Try Simple Green as a start, to remove the black grease - grime, etc.

I did this after I first got my msm. The lettering on the valve cover was brown as qas the intake mani. I'd spray those parts every day for about a week. At the end of the wee k I did it 1 last time and then hosed it off. Theyve been nice and silver since!
