Road tested the new rad/spal fan set-up today. Everything performed as it should. Fans come on at 204.8 degrees according to my Ultragauge, which does not seem to like that I totally ignored it's fuel economy/trip gauge parameters. I'll have to get into it and disable those "features".
Next step is the Relay Delay Module once some installation bits arrive. Bench tested it with a fused 9v battery and a bulb to reduce the chances of frying it. Takes about 10 second to connect the circuit at 9v. I'll set-up a full blown mockup of the No.1 fan circuit, relay, switch and test it with a spare Westco I have in the shop, before I cut into the wiring harness.

Well I bench tested the Relay Delay Module at 13+vdc and it took @8 sec. for the test light to come on. At first I thought I fried it somehow as it is supposed to be a 3/4 sec. delay. I called Caspers to inquire and he informed me that is in fact a 5 sec. delay that specs out between 5~10 sec., not 3/4 sec. like the packaging says. Seems they discontinued the 3/4 sec. version because didn't allow enough recovery time between fan start-up ( which is why I ordered two, to wire in series=1.5 sec.). One of the units tested at 8 sec. and the other at 11 sec.. That's to long of a delay, seeing as the fans only run for a brief period in normal conditions anyway. Hopefully they will refund my money for the slight mis-representation on their part. Maybe if I wire them in parallel it will cut the delay time in half....

I think that would be a fine delay.  You should try it and see how it works.

No update yet. Once driving season starts all mods cease 'til the seasons over. I did call Caspers and explained the situation. He was quite helpful and said that the 8~11 sec spec is normal although he could probably build one that specs @3~4 sec. I'll have to follow with him soon. I'm also looking into a plug-n-play harness setup that just plugs into the relay socket under the main fuse box as I really don't want to be in there hacking up the stock harness. Hyde said he might have what I need(IMASEN H270 Relay and harness side socket) in his attic but I'll have to wait for him to get it at his convenience. The "hit" the alternator is taking is somewhat disconcerting but seems to be fine so far. With the rad ducting and the FM filter shroud I'm pretty much staying below 195f all the time except when waiting and returning to the paddock so the fans hardly run at all

Sumitomo part #'s
Connector housing; 6188-0558 (male; 91 Sealed Series or RS Series )
Terminals;     5100-0105 ( male, tin plated. Not the spec'd part # but works just fine)
Retainer;       6918-1776
Seals;           7165-0472
Dummy plugs; 7165-1131 ( I just siliconed the holes in some seals and used them instead)

I was able to source 10 connectors and the various other bits thru an Electronic Supply house but they were virtually un-obtainable anywhere else unless I wanted 5000 pcs. You also need a unique style crimper to properly attach the terminals to the wires so this is not the simple Plug-n-Play project I had envisioned.
Quicker than trying to link... Volcrew, here's that thread
