Title: Leaky Oil Cap? $3 fix!
Post by: 04TitaniumGrayPhilly on April 26, 2013, 03:10:04 PM
Seems to be a common problem now since I guess the gaskets are old being almost 10 years.

This is what you want to fix.

This is the part you will need:

New on left, old on right, what a difference

Simply pry the old gasket out and push in the new one. Get the residual off of the valve cover to see if the new gasket works, it did for me and should for you.

I swear when I did mine a couple of months ago that it made the car a bit faster. Seriously though, for such a small investment of time and money it's very satisfying to pop the hood and see a clean valve cover.
