That's why you get a boost gauge and YES you will get around 35-45 HP.  YES!!!!  Which is why doing things like adding an air filter for the sound is rice to me.

Look here are the charts

This was stock

This is with the FM intake and the reason there is such a big jump at 5.2k is this was done with the stock EBC before people were adding a MBC.  The reason you use the MBC is the stock EBC can't deal with the increased air flow of the new intake.

Looks like you have just convinced me to drop $550 on this intake kit, and I love you for it Smiley

boost gauge will come later, guess Ill have to just play with the MBC till I get it right

Look again I posted the charts.  Boost gauge is cheap, you can shop for one for under 50 bucks and you don't even need to install it permanently if you don't want to, all though I like having it. I originally just ran a rubber line out from under the hood and had someone hold it for me to tune the car.

In that case I can probbably borrow one from one of my boosted buddies just to tune it right

Whats the benefit though, of getting

instead of
http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=4536&parentid=0&stocknumber=05-29111%20%20W/%20MASS

Those extra parts worth the money im sure, i just want to know why

You can get the second/cheaper unit and add the other parts later if you want.  All you get with the second one is the intake and a MBC.  what you get with the first one is the BOV/the metal TB pipe and the O2 modifier.  You will get most of the HP increase with just the intake, you get rid of potential problems (the TB) and improved performance (BOV and O2 mod) with the first kit.

So what do you suggest?? Go all out or just get the intake for now? If im gona spend the money I might as well do it right, and have the car run as best it can, so first kit is what im leaning towards

I would, your going to have to replace the BOV and the TB pipe eventually anyway.

I wont throw any check engine lights with this kit right?? I live in PA so CARB is not an issue, but I want it to be nice nad semi-legal when it comes to inspect the car...in other words I dont care as long as the car is running well and I pass inspection
