I <3 that hood a whole lot because in a way it reminds me of my dream car, the TVR Sagaris  thumup

I know I won't be in this first group buy, but cannot wait to see what the fitment/quality is like.

cool thanks for posting that. i hope these get made. the NB's have a serious shortage of cool looking and functional after market hoods. The alternatives are in Japan and cost an arm and a leg and maybe a testee to get them

I am interested in the functionality more than the aesthetics, but that doesn't look too bad..

Does anyone know how such a hood works with the rain?  my car is a daily driver and I have no choice in whether or not it gets rained on while away from the house.

The only other trouble is that it would seem that heat extracted from the hood would then come over the windscreen and into the cabin when the roof is down..

I am fighting bad underhood temps during summers here in Texas, (for example: my accessory belts get overheated and don't last more than a year, my alternator overheated, not to mention how bad the car retards itself) maybe this could help..

I have had 3 different vented hoods on my last miata and I live in a condo where I have no garage. The rain never created any issue for my car whatsoever and neither of the hoods had a rain rail. I believe this one will.

Leatherface24, thats a sharp looking hood. Do you have a picture of what it looks like installed on an NB?

I'm in San Antonio and have no clue what this rain stuff is.  Tongue
I had an Eclipse that I had a vented Evo style hood on it. No rain thingy but I had no issues at all.

They won't. This is the first time they are making the hood.

FYI, they are going to keep the power bulge.

if the fitment can compare to my fiber images hood on my other car I will deeefinitely be getting one of these. At 1/3 the price I just don't know how much I can trust the fitment/quality. I'll have to see one in person.

I live in Washington DC and that is only about an hour away from me.  I don't like the hood, but I'd be willing to offer up my car for fitment purposes and take some pictures of it (if they let me).
