Needless to say they are rough to use and don't go well with the interior at all...is there a way to fit NC ones in place to help modernize the interior a bit?

Another thing I find is when I slide through a corner (like when I was sliding on empty streets on my way home from class today), if I slid through a right hander, when i straightened out the turning stork would go down and signal left, and vise versa...pretty annoying.

Well your first problem is having birds inside your car.  Leave the storks home.   Grin

Some people have changed the steering wheels in their Miatas and used either a slightly more dished wheel or a bigger spacer to increase the space between the wheel and the stalk.  Funny is I used to do the same thing all the time in my NA but don't seem to do it on the MSM.
