There are only 5528 worldwide which doesn't sound like much spread across billions of people.  Besides the two that I test drove a year ago (both VRM), and the couple that I've seen in for sale ads around Houston.  I've seen red MSMs a few times on the road.  I think three or four times total.  I don't think I've ever seen any other color other than VRM.

Until 2 days ago.  I work downtown in Houston and noticed that a block from my building there's always a Ti MSM parked on the roof of a parking garage.  I think it's even in the Google maps satellite view.  Small and gray with a black top between a white car and red car.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=fannin+street+and+polk+Street,+Houston,+TX&hl=en&ll=29.75402,-95.366435&spn=0.001576,0.002355&sll=29.753978,-95.366038&sspn=0.003153,0.00471&vpsrc=6&t=h&z=19

So how often do you see a random MSM?

There were 350 sold in Canada too (I'm in Canada) Smiley

I see one other MSM locally.  Actually, my friends see it and tell me that I've been to a certain place...and they're usually wrong cheesy  I think there are only 2 or 3 MSMs on the island I live on, so it's a rare sight indeed.

5528 in the USA, plus the Canadians, plus the SE in Australia.

Smiley There used to be 3 or 4 around Augusta Ga. and one of them a TI used to be on here also and I never saw him once. I did see one tonight a VR tonight on the Autoline afterhour coverage of the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit. They had the Hall twins on there which are the father and uncle of the Miata's inspiration.

I believe there may be a couple if the Houston Miata club too, but I've never been to a meeting.  One of them driven by Jeff, moved to Corpus Christi, so we lost one.

I'm here in Spring, TX, I mainly travel beltway 8, highway 45 and the towns of Spring and Stafford. I fly around the country a lot for work during the weekdays so I'm only on Houston rodes about 10 days a month (if that) so the car sits at Hobby and Bush airports a lot. I still manage to put a a fair amount of miles on the car while in town. I've seen one VR and one TI on the Beltway and that's about it.

Including mine, I've only seen 3 locally.  Once saw a Ti at a local strip mall.  The other is a black mica, that Charlie on this board owns.

These things are so rare around here, I constantly have people telling me its the 1st one they've seen, or that they never knew a mazdaspeed miata existed.  I used to draw pretty big crowds at the local friday night ricer meets  Grin

I've only seen three...all are on this board and NY cars.  Oliver's Velocity Red, msmny's TI and my Black Mica of course.  I like the fact that our cars are relatively rare.

True story : parked next to another Ti yesterday. Took a couple of shots with my phone.  I know of at least four more here in town but I think Austin is the exception to the rule.
