Nice car collection.  While the others certainly are special, the MSM must be competitively fast in both cornering and straight-line speed when compared to the E30 and Type-R.  Many of us lust for the E30, but it's certainly no barn burner, and the Type-R has a very very subjective power delivery.  What I like is that all three cars offer a very different experience.  You just need a big American V8 now Wink

Funny you say that... on my "to own" list somewhere down the road is a 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R. The ridiculous awful bright red one with the terrible wing and sad grey interior. I think I have a thing for souped-up limited edition versions of normal cars.

I don't park it on the street at night, that was just a mid-day car shuffle. If it's not in the garage, it's parked in by a car or two. I also live 1000 yards from the police station. But yes, it is a serious bummer that I have to tiptoe with the car and where I park it. I don't get to drive it as often as I'd like for that reason.  Sad

Cool collection!  I had a '95 Integra LS (could only keep it for a year before I moved to the city, but I sold it to my granddad who put another 85K miles on it), and now I have an E46 330xi.  You obviously have excellent taste.

Transmission started making some very unhappy sounds in first and second gear today. I am somewhat offended, this is supposed to be the reliable car! A 5-speed may be in my future.

But you have a Honda. The mazda no longer believes it needs to be the reliable car lol.

Haha you may have a point.

I'm going to record a video of the Miata's noises in the next few days here and share it for an expert opinion. There is some grumbling when I put the car into first and second gear, and more unpleasant noises when I come fully off the clutch as I accelerate in first gear. Shift action feels the same as always, it's just the sound. Pedal feels fine.
