So the heater is working

Cut my rear bumpstops down a bit on a recommendation from FCM. Less oversteer and other weird twitchy stuff.

Went for a terrific adventure with my friend yesterday. We started in ojai at the attitude adjustment shop. Then we went across the street to the ojai valley inn and spa for drinks and break from driving. There was a deer eating on the driving range!





After that we headed north through Santa Barbra by hwys 150, 192, and other back roads. Great views!



Ending up at the 1878 ojai jail, Old Stage Coach rd 29, and a historic engineering landmark.






Passing through Monticito (one of the top ten most expensive zip codes in the U.S. we stopped at a FULL service gas station for petrol and a window wash.



Then boccalis for pizza and strawberry shortcake before a drive though gorgeous hwy 33 and Lockwood valley.

This brings back memories of a similar California adventure many moons ago in a Triumph TR-4A.

So Since the last post of this type I have added e85, Aero, Flatshift, and R-comps are going to be a given late in the year. Its getting harder and harder to make mods that dont brake the bank. My thoughts are, What are yours?

Lightweight Front brake setup (2 piece rotor wilwood kit by goodwin; more aggressive autox pads)
Lighter Battery (no idea which one)
Clutch / Flywheel (not sure a lighter flywheel is actually faster)
Miata roadster shifter (Maybe a tenth in shifting?)
Lighter Seats (Fixed back sparco's sprints)
Custom Mid-pipe (I use a turn down at the muffler for autox's)
Bigger Throttle Body (does it even make more HP with a tune?)
EBC for hydra (One that actually works that the subie guys use; probably a given)

Something I have missed? Still daily so im not pulling the radio. Different lines so I cant remove the softtop etc.

Here is my progress since starting this thread. My 100% is Bob Endicott our resident STR Winner thats at every event. I know its not BSP but im still on street tires so its closer to my development. Once I go R-comps then its vs Tom Berry.

Nice chart.  How long had you been autoxing before last January?  The things that have made me faster are more seat time (by far) and finally getting my suspension mostly figured out (though I've got new ideas for next season). 

How often do you have to shift?  A tenth from the shifter seems like a lot....

I'm not sure my Wilwoods helped much, but I did them at roughly same time as my springs, so who knows?

It was a long break between January last year. Im constantly critiquing my driving and seeking input. I do the evo school every chance I get and im continually  drilling down the suspension. the suspension has by far been the greatest gain. While Im not able to keep up with someone like Brian Alien Peters  in 4 runs given 8 I was within a tenth of his time in my car. So still more work there as well as making the car more drivable and thus help along my consistency.
