One of the bulbs burnt out on my trunk lights or the lights to illuminate the license plate. Does anyone have the part number for the bulb or know a size that will work I can find at a hardware store? I doubt it matters but it's the passenger side. I just took one off and went to my flaps. They have a bunch of similar ones. I actually bought one with amber tint on them. Looks awesome at night.
As what bulb # it was, sorry but I just can't recall.

I burned one of those out too, I just went to a local ricer store, and they looked up the size and sold me a pair of LED replacements. Had them on for over 2 years already, still shining.

Have any of you guy's replaced your brake light bulbs with leds? How about the rear turn signals? Where can I find these?

First thing I did to my car was change the license plate/dome light* and Moss console lights to leds.
In addition to looking better than incandescent lights...leds draw much less current and run cooler. I still have the oem battery in my car. If I'm working on or about my car, the leds don't seem to stress the battery if I have a door or the trunk open.
*the next thing I did was take the clear dome light lens from my na and put it on the msm. I never understood the idea of the smoked dome lens on na/nb's

This weekend I dropped two LED bulbs in from my box o' spare crap from cars gone by. One thing I like is that LEDs consume such little power, I'm far more comfortable with my trunk left open for extended periods.

Last week I accidentally left the trunk not open but apparently not latched completely with the license plate leds on. 24 hrs later my original Mazda battery had run down. A couple of hours with the Battery Tender on and all was well. I thought that the led draw was minimal but this is the original battery (that I'm trying to nurse through another winter. |
