Author Topic: Is it my MSM or do the rear wind deflector speakers barely have any volume?  (Read 4929 times)

Even when I turn the fader all the way to the rear speakers I can barely hear the music Is this normal?

2004 Ti MSM #1707 bought Jan 2013 mostly stock with 46k miles. She now has 75k miles (January 2016), complete FM intake, GFB recirculating BPV, TurboXS MBC set to 10.5psi, custom cold air ducting, eBay FMIC, FM O2 signal mod, custom SpeedHut Revolution boost gauge, Ultra-gauge, custom gauge mount, GTA car kit, eBay downpipe, and custom 3" exhaust... I'm an aerospace engineer, and I like building my own parts 😉

I wonder why they even added them.  They just add weight.  Not a lot, but it all adds up.

Anybody replaced / upgraded them?   Crutchfield says one BOSE amp powers the rear speakers and one the fronts.   Can anybody verify this?

I just bought this week, should be delivered today a whole new stereo system.  For the rear I'm going to do something like the first picture with a single dual voicecoil 5.25" speaker, see second photo.  I don't know when I'll complete it yet, but I'll share pics and thoughts once it's done.
