If any of you come over to Oz make sure you get in contact with any of the state clubs MX5.com.au.
We usually organise a small cruise for guests or invite you along to a club event.

Several months down the track from the trip I decided I might remove the plasti-dip from the front bar and guards. this turned out to be easier said than done I only applied 2 cans to the whole area and although it did do the job as well as expected - I had drama with the removal of the dip but eventually came up with the fix. Will post a few photos and info shortly

Just found this thread and wandered through the whole trip! Fantastic! Thanks very much for going to the trouble of sharing with us! You provided a new understanding of this part of Australia.

This year I am again planning another big run in the miata to the great Aust red centre and do the open limit run again plus about 6,000 or more miles in total. We plan to leave in about 5 weeks time. Will be running a lot more power through the car and at the moment the miata is with the tuner. I may even cruise down the Qld tropical coast ( Great Barrier reef) lush green sugar cane country plus a few other areas to add a bit more interest to the journey
