Apparently Mazda has discontinued the lower Mazdaspeed Miata radiator hose for whatever crazy reason. I was told it is MSM specific. What is a good source for this hose?

I just bought an AC Delco (I think) from Rock Auto.  I didn't compare part numbers, but it matches the shape and size of my old one just fine.

Look at the last post in this thread:

Also, while I was searching for mine, I talked to flyin Miata and they told me that their silicone lower rad hose fits MSMs although it's a different shape.  I haven't tried it of course, but another possible option in case.

"Fit" is subjective. I have the FM silicone hose and while I did get it to work I'd hardly call it a good fit.  You definitely have to trim it which is not a big deal but the bends are wrong for the MSM. Being soft silicon you can bend it into submission.

That's good to know, I did have my doubts as the gentleman I spoke with wasn't sure and had to ask around, and the answer seemed tentative.

Fortunately there are other aftermarket options.

That was my experience as well.  I'm going to go back to stock (unless I find something better) the next time I drain my cooling system.

I received my OE Mazda hose package from Priority Mazda, minus the lower radiator hose. I think I'll get the Gates lower hose. AC Delco brings back too many GM memories.

I was so disappointed with FM's lower radiator hose, that I ended up not even using it! Just reinstalled the one that was already on the car, since it was still in good shape.
